Backhoe Bucket

A backhoe loader is one of the most versatile pieces of equipment when it comes to construction equipment. If you have ever been on a jobsite or if you are a general contractor you probably have owned or even rented and at least seen a backhoe loader. The interesting thing about this piece of construction equipment is that there is a front end that is usable and a back end that is usable. This means that you will need to pick out two different backhoe buckets. This is an extremely important process because depending on what you are trying to do with your machine will make a large difference in what buckets you will need to purchase.

A bucket on a piece of equipment can either assist with the productivity of the machine or it can dramatically hurt the productivity of the machine. With a backhoe loader bucket you will need to look at different things depending if you are trying to purchase a bucket for the front end or a back end bucket. With your bucket that is on the front end of the tractor you what to really think about how you are going to use your back hoe loader. If you are only going to use the bucket to load and carry material, then you will want a very simple general purpose bucket. If you are wanting to lift and place material then you may want a more complex bucket that will open and close so you can clamp items.

As far as the back end of your back hoe machine, you also will want to think about how you will be using the tractor. Certain owners of backhoe’s only will dig a certain sized trench. If this is the case, than you may only need one bucket. The three most popular sizes of buckets are twelve inch, twenty-four inch, and thirty-six inch. However, the majority of people who own this type of equipment will own multiple sizes of buckets. Also remember to think outside of the box. You may want something more than a bucket on the backend of a machine.

Today there are many work tools available that can be attached to your machine. For example, of you want to have an auger that will dig holes for posts then you can have that. Also, if you want to have a hammer that will fit on the end of your machine if you have the need to break concrete or rock that you need to break apart.
